A Glamourous Getaway
From Marilyn Monroe to Charles Lindbergh, the hotel Del is an iconic resort that has welcomed many legendary personalities and several American presidents. It’s one of the world’s oldest and largest wooden Victorian beach resorts; it’s one of the most famous historical landmarks of San Diego.
Coronado Beach
Right next to hotel Del rests San Diego’s if not California’s most amazing beach which spans almost 2 miles of pristine golden sand. It’s the perfect location to chill and enjoy a sunset.
All Dressed Up For The Holidays
During the holidays season, this place is magical the Christmas trees and lights all over the properties takes it to a new level; it’s warm and cozy and just stunningly beautiful.
Village Pizzeria
If the hotel has many restaurants including a great pizzeria, for anyone craving pizza, I’d highly recommend Village Pizzeria which is within minutes from the Del and the walk there is like any stroll on Coronado; it’s really enjoyable. The pizzas are great no matter which style you go for and they cost a fraction of what you would pay at the resort.
Seasonal Light Show
One of the craziest and most fun things to enjoy at the resort during the holidays is enjoying the lights and a special light show every couple of hours that is not to be missed; it’s perfect to get into Christmas mood.
Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory
In the same vicinity as the Del and the Village Pizzeria an assuming candy store can be found but make no mistake; it harbours wonders and some of the sweetest delicacies one can seek.
Ice Skating By The Ocean
Right around Thanksgiving, a seasonal ice rink is placed by the ocean in front of the Del and it’s always something unique and completely surreal to skate by the ocean while enjoying warm temperatures.
MooTime Creamery
A trip to Coronado wouldn’t be complete without stopping by the quaintest creamery on the peninsula which offers decadent desserts worth every penny that will be succulent until the last bite.
