I’m going to start by more than likely the most famous person on this list, the 90s one-hit wonder turned 2000s icon. Robyn’s reinventing herself has given us one of the greatest breakup songs ever. I really hate the slow covers of this song; they’re turning empowerment into a pity party.
Tove Lo
I have a love-hate relationship with Tove Lo; I dislike most of her songs but I absolutely love their remixes; the Stockholm native is probably the most known artist on this list but I had to include her because her tracks are some of the ones that spin the most in my hears.

I miss badass female performers; the ones that talked about emancipation and strength that defined themselves without referring to others; whenever I hear the Dutch songstress anthem, I feel the same dose of energy coursing through my body that I did the first time I heard the song.

When she’s not fighting the Terminator, Sarah Connor used to be known for really bad poppy songs like Let’s get back to bed, boy but in a surprising twist of fate, the German pop idol found her voice, her identity and I really dig this older Sarah Connor.

My favorite Norwegian artist and by far; if I might have that one famous song for A-ha, I have a few songs from Lene Marlin’s album Playing My Game.

The 98 Grammy Award nominated artist is part of the 90s trend every country tried to have their own Britney Spears but like in most cases, she ended up a one-hit wonder.
Sita
I’m going to end this with the artist who inspired this post; this Sita’s song popped into my hears and reminded my how much I love her French album way more than her English ones. Nothing like a woman speaking French with an accent to melt my heart.
