My 5 Favorite Games of 2017 In No Particular Order

As the year is slowly coming to close, here are five video games that I’ve really enjoyed in 2017 which, to me, is one of the best years in gaming with 1998 and 2007.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

South Park: The Stick Of Truth was one of my favorite games of 2017 and I couldn’t be more delighted by its sequel which captures so many things that made its predecessor so much fun but builds on it to expand and change things up. It’s a blast.

Horizon Zero Dawn

2017 was a rough year for Xbox marred with cancellations of long-awaited exclusive and PlayStation releasing stellar exclusives month after month. Horizon Zero Dawn not only is a fantastic game but a system seller for the PlayStation Pro; something the Xbox One X doesn’t have.

Persona 5

The long awaited sequel to one of the most amazing JRPGS of the last decade doesn’t disappoint and lives up to the hype. It’s an enthralling tale that is exquisite by its attention to details in the gameplay served by an unmistakable singular aesthetic.

Nier: Automata

From the first minutes in, this Platinum Games’ production feels special from the first musical notes to the character design and gameplay; everything oozes love and care. 2B and 9S are compelling characters going through an enticing and memorable journey.

Skyrim VR

I have logged over 500 hours in Skyrim when the original was released six years ago and it’s very difficult to explain the experience of playing this game in VR; it’s an absolutely awe inspiring thing to be standing on the heights of Solitude and watch the sprawling landscape of Tamriel.
