Chloe

Chloe

Chloe is Atom Egoyan’s new which is based on French movie, Nathalie; it tells the story of a middle aged woman who hires an escort to find out if her husband is cheating on her. Every time the Chloe (Amanda Seyfried) meets Catherine (Julianne Moore), she tells her what happened with her husband (played by Liam Neeson). The film is quite good and definitely only for adults.

The main problem comes when you compare the remake Chloe to the original Nathalie: the French movie wasn’t any better, but it was more subtle, and the catalyst character being older (played by Emanuelle Beart), it made the character Nathalie a more vile and intricate character, whereas Chloe, seems to be just a lolita with a lot of issues, and leaves you with the feeling that maybe she isn’t evil, just suffering from schizophrenia.

In no way the movie is a bad one; it’s a good film to watch, kind of uncomfortable for couples, but interesting, with great performances from the actors; there’s nothing bad about the movie at all; it is just average as an ensemble.
